What are the different types of paper in Printing?

The quality and durability of the print also depend on the type of paper you select. If you fail to select the right paper for your printing, then the overall appearance of the print is overripe and you will not get the desired outcome of your efforts. Types of Paper

Gloss Coated Paper

Gloss paper is generally used for brochures and flyers due to its high shine. The ink dries well in this kind of paper so there is no need for seal varnish as it will not rub off easily.

Matte Coated Paper

Matte paper is the opposite of gloss paper. It is coated with a matte finish to produce a paper with a shiny look. The matte paper offers a smooth presentation and a softer appearance than an uncoated sheet. This kind of paper is ideal for flyers and leaflets.

Bond Paper

The bond paper is strong and more durable than any other sheet of paper. Bond paper is made up of rag pulp instead of wood pulp which makes it strong and durable. This kind of paper is suitable for business forms, invoices, letterheads, and reports.

Watermarked Paper

Uncoated Paper

Uncoated paper is typically found in most office printers and it has no coating, making it suitable for accepting and absorbing ink. As it has no coating it can be used by both printers and pen, ideal for forms, memos, and letterheads.
