Brush Your Ideas’ Product templates are exclusively used for products like calendar, visiting cards, photobook etc. You can assign the created product templates to the products of your choice. However, before assigning it to products it is important to make sure that you’ve correctly created these templates. Visit here to find out how to add new product templates, correctly. You can also assign multiple templates to one product. All you need to do is create multiple templates, upload multiple images for multiple templates in your product configuration and configure those templates with your product. Therefore both the templates will be visible in the front-end “Template” panel to your customers when they customize this particular product and they will be able to choose from these options while designing their product.
Let’s say you’ve created a product named “Aesthetics calendar” and you’ve assigned one template to it already. Now you want to assign another template to the same product.
Go to Catalog ➤ Products ➤ Select “Aesthetics calendar” from the list, and click edit.
- Now, go to the “Images and video” section. Here upload image for the second template that you want to add.
- Open image configuration and add image sides.
- In the image configuration section, under the “Product Template” field dropdown you’ll find a list of all the templates that you’ve created.
- Select the template that you want to assign to this image and save these configurations.
Front End View
As shown in the below figure you can see there are three calendar products in the calendars section, in the front end store. Let’s say here you’re selecting the “Aesthetics calendar” for customization.
As soon as you click on the “Customize it” button for the “Aesthetics Calendar” product, you’ll be directed to the product template page. Here, you’ll be able to see all the templates associated with this product that you’ve added from the backend. (In this case there are two templates, since we added two templates from the backend)
You can add more than two templates for a product too. All you need to do is follow the above steps repeatedly for each template.
